Nile Safari Lodge is one of Uganda’s premier luxury eco-lodges, offering an exclusive wilderness experience surrounded by breathtaking views of the Nile and the park’s untouched savannah landscape. The lodge is designed to blend luxury with nature, providing guests with a peaceful retreat where hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species can often be seen along the riverbanks. Its location makes it an excellent base for exploring Murchison Falls’ highlights, including game drives, boat cruises to the bottom of the falls, birdwatching, and visits to the famous top of the falls.
By road, Nile Safari Lodge is approximately a 5-hour drive from Kampala (around 300 km), travelling via Masindi and entering the park through the southern gates before reaching the lodge. For travelers arriving by air, charter and scheduled domestic flights can be arranged from Entebbe International Airport or Kajjansi Airfield to nearby Bugungu or Pakuba Airstrips, followed by a short scenic transfer to the lodge. Bugungu Airstrip is the closest option, while Pakuba is also commonly used for safari connections.
