Nestled on the northern banks of the Victoria Nile in the heart of Murchison Falls National Park, Paraa Safari Lodge is one of Uganda’s most iconic safari lodges. Established in 1954, the lodge offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Nile as it winds through the park towards the spectacular Murchison Falls. Its prime location provides easy access to game drives, boat cruises, birdwatching, and the famous falls, making it an ideal base for exploring Uganda’s largest national park. By road, the lodge is approximately a 5-hour drive (300 km) from Kampala or about 6 hours (340 km) from Entebbe via Masindi, with the final stretch traversing the park before crossing the Nile by ferry to the lodge. For those preferring to fly, scheduled domestic flights from Entebbe International Airport to Pakuba or Bugungu Airstrips take about one hour, followed by a scenic 45-minute drive to the lodge
