Before, these people were fruit gathers and hunters surviving totally on the forest. When you take a tour to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National you get chance to visit the Batwa in their communities, while here groove their exciting traditional cultures exhibited through their cultural dance performances and songs. A ride for women is one of the community support group that began in as a mountain bike hire/ rental. The income collected from this bike rental is gathered put back to community to support the local women and these have been victims of domestic violence.

It is important to note that from a small project of bike rental in Buhoma, apparently its a sustainable women empowerment association with about 100 women. These are equipped with various skills like tailoring, catering and hospitality, it has managed to build a guest house where many travelers on a gorilla tour can overnight, this at the same time acts as a training Centre for many young women in the hospitality services. Gorilla Habituation Experience

This is a 4 hours experience with a gorilla family in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park.
